For nearly two decades, Heather R. Nelson had a storybook career in corporate lending for some of the largest banks in the nation before becoming an entrepreneur six years ago. The pivot was part of a shift for Heather after the “success” left her drained mentally, physically, and spiritually. Through her many years of experience working in corporate America, serving on the board of directors of non-profits, and building a $6.4MM firm in under five years, Heather has experienced the highs and lows of leading teams.
In response to Heather’s passion for storytelling and propensity for wanderlust, she founded her own consulting firm to serve others through speaking, storytelling, and strategic planning.
Heather holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing Management with an Emphasis in Entrepreneurial Management from the Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas, and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is an experienced entrepreneur, speaker, writer, photographer, and strategic visionary.
Heather’s chief motivators in her life are Jesus, her family, and her friends (whom she often refers to as her tribe).
+ Facedown. The Art of Rising Up
Each of us will have that moment when the rug is taken out from underneath us and we find ourselves facedown on the floor. The world tells us that when that happens, we need to bounce back, bounce up, and do it quickly. What if there were another way? A slower way? One that left you healthy and whole instead of patched up like Humpty Dumpty? Heather has experienced her own facedown moment, and in the rising up, discovered a deeper level of authenticity that has led to not only more success, but more peace. And so can you.
In this riveting keynote you’ll discover:
- Facedown – do we choose it, or does it choose us?
- The uniqueness in how we fail.
- The beauty in the brutal.
- A deconstructed life.
- The art of submission.
Heather will engage your audience with her honest insights and experiences. Her willingness to bear her soul by sharing her journey and her triumph will inspire your audience to take a good look at their own lives. Will they choose their facedown moment or will it choose them?
